Crafting Flag Pole

The Flag Pole is a buildable base structure that players can construct to help secure their base. A sturdy foundation supports the mast, where a flag can be attached and raised.

Once fully built and the flag is hoisted, the Flag Pole begins to protect the area within a 60-meter radius — any items stored in containers will not despawn, as their lifetime is regularly refreshed. Over time, the flag will slowly lower, but players can raise or lower it whenever needed.

With a flag attached, its position can be adjusted — fully raising it requires five actions, and the flag can only be taken into the player’s hands when it is at its lowest point. Currently, the flag lowers automatically over about 45 days, after which it needs to be raised again to keep the Flag Pole active.

An active Flag Pole refreshes the lifetime of all items within its range every 5 days. Structures like fences, watchtowers, and tents normally despawn after 45 days, but with an active flag, they can last up to 90 days without interaction.

The Flag Pole Kit requires a single rope, and once the base is placed, the rope can be removed and reused for the next building steps.

A flag’s position can also reveal useful information — seeing the current height of another player’s flag can indicate whether their base has been visited or maintained recently.
