The Stone Knife is an improvised tool crafted by the player, and it can also serve as a basic bladed weapon. It’s made by sharpening a Small Stone against a larger rock or boulder in the environment, or by grinding one small stone against another.
Not very sharp and not very durable, but useful when you’ve got nothing better to rely on.
As of 0.63, stone textures can no longer be searched. Small Stones now spawn naturally across the terrain of Chernarus. Crafting an Improvised Knife requires two Small Stones, instead of using one on the ground surface.
As of 1.04, Small Stones can be found along forest paths and game trails.
As of 1.04, survivors no longer spawn with an Improvised Knife, preventing players from committing suicide to obtain a better spawn location.
